Compassionate Biblical Counseling Services
At Branches of Grace Biblical Counseling, you'll find a safe, confidential space to bring your struggles into the light of Scripture. Whether you're walking through anxiety, grief, marriage struggles, or a season of spiritual doubt, counseling here is grounded in God's Word and centered on Christ, in partnership with your local church.
Meet Sarah
My mission is to love you well by listening and pointing you to Jesus Christ, the true source of healing.
I believe God's Word is sufficient for the struggles you're facing, not because your pain isn't real, but because Scripture speaks directly into it. My hope is that our time together helps you depend on Jesus more and leaves you with real, lasting tools to face whatever comes next.
I hold a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and I've built Branches of Grace Biblical Counseling to offer accessible, Christ-centered care to women and teen girls working through life's hardest seasons.
A few of my simple joys: singing, coffee dates with friends, and long walks by the river to relax. My husband and I lead worship together at church, and we love chasing beautiful views in nature and hunting down fun new places to eat. A mountain view is best, in my opinion. I also served as a Baptist missionary in Southern Mexico, and my husband and I know what it means to wait on God through loss and hard seasons in growing our family.
I'm not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or counselor in the State of South Carolina. Branches of Grace Biblical Counseling is a Biblical/pastoral counseling ministry, grounded in Scripture rather than secular clinical practice. If your needs go beyond what biblical counseling can offer — medication management, a diagnosed condition requiring clinical treatment, or a crisis situation — I'll help point you toward the right resource.

What to Expect in your Session
-
Sessions are held in person in a private office or virtually through HIPAA Compliant, Google Meet. Each session is 50 minutes.
-
Every counseling journey looks different, some struggles untangle in a matter of weeks, others take longer to work through, depending on what's beneath the surface. Most clients meet weekly or every other week, and we'll talk through what pace makes sense for you in our first session together.
Just as much depends on you: how faithfully you follow through on what we discuss, how present you are in Scripture and prayer between sessions, how connected you stay to your church, and how honestly you're willing to open up in our time together. The more you invest, the faster real change tends to come.
-
Your first session will look a little different from the ones that follow. We'll spend that time getting to know your story, what brought you to counseling, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping will change, and build a plan together from there.
-
Sessions are grounded in Scripture and centered on Christ. Expect an empathetic ear, honest conversation, prayer, and the practical application of God's Word to whatever you're facing, not just talking, and not a clinical assessment.
-
If you need to reschedule, please give at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and missed sessions may be charged the full session fee. If you simply do not show up for your session you are taking away the opportunity for someone else to receive needed care.
-
What you share is held in confidence, with the standard exceptions required by law, for example: suspected abuse or danger to yourself or others. More detailed information is in the Counseling Agreement which is signed before the first session.
-
If at any point your needs go beyond what Biblical counseling can offer, I'll tell you honestly and help you find the right resource, whether that's a physician, a licensed counselor, or additional support.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Biblical counseling looks to Scripture as the foundation for addressing life's hardest struggles. My training and experience has shaped a simple conviction: God's Word speaks to the brokenness in you, your relationships and the world.
Rather than only treating symptoms in isolation, biblical counseling looks for the deeper, heart-level issues beneath them, the beliefs, desires, and patterns driving what you think, feel, and do. At the same time, I recognize you as a whole person: body, mind, emotions, and relationships all matter, not just the spiritual dimension.
The goal is lasting, Christ-centered growth. Real, lasting change is the work of the Holy Spirit, often through the encouragement and accountability of pastors, mentors, and a Christ-centered church community. That's why I ask every client to stay rooted in their local church throughout our time together.
This process is never about shame, it's about grace. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation for everything we do in counseling, and the goal is always redemption, not condemnation.
-
No. Biblical counseling uses Scripture as the primary guide for addressing life's struggles rather than psychological theory. I'm not a licensed mental health provider, so if your situation calls for clinical treatment, I'll tell you honestly so you can pursue the right care.
-
No. I practice as a Biblical/pastoral counselor under South Carolina's provision for religious counseling, not as a licensed counselor, therapist, or psychologist.
-
No. Branches of Grace Biblical Counseling is self-pay only. Sessions are $100 for 50 minutes, due at the time of your appointment.
-
A significant one. I require that clients be involved in a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching church throughout our time together, and I welcome the chance to partner with your pastor or church leadership when it's helpful to your care. Communication with your church would be with your consent.
Statement of Beliefs
I hold to the following core beliefs, historically affirmed by the Christian and Baptist tradition:
We believe the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant Word and our final authority for faith and life.
We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the full deity and full humanity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and promised return.
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by works, and includes the new birth, justification before God, ongoing sanctification, and future glorification.
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, enabling a godly life and empowering service through the local church.
We believe the local church, a congregation of baptized believers gathered under the lordship of Christ, is God's design for spiritual growth, accountability, and mission.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the eternal life of believers in Heaven, and the eternal judgment of the unrepentant.
We believe every person, of every race, is created in the image of God and worthy of dignity, love, and respect.
